Gate Manufacture and Fitting
At our workshops in Earls Colne, Essex, we manufacture a wide range of high-qualitysoftwood and hardwood wooden gates. We make various different styles, all are made to measure in any size, within reason! A few of the gates we have manufactured and fitted are shown below:
Our gates encompass everything from the most economical closeboard side gates to fully framed, morticed, and tenoned driveway gates suitable for gate automation. The strength in a gate comes from both the construction techniques and also the sizes of the timbers used. You will find the timbers used in even our most economical gates are significanlty larger than many of those found in many DIY stores.
Some of our gates have an open top design so that the homeowner can see who is outside their gate whilst others offer a solid more private solution. The correct bracing on the back of the gate with the gate hung the correct way round ensures that the gates wont drop over time and become difficult to open and close.

All of our gates are manufactured in our own workshops in the beautiful Colne Valley. We manufacture from small side gates up to large driveway gates suitable for our gate automation in softwood and hardwood.
We fit our own gates throughout Essex and parts of Suffolk and Hertfordshire. We can also automate all of our driveway gates if required.

5 Bar Gate Styles
Manufactured in hardwood or softwood in multiple styles including hooked, picket or standard. With or without a raised helve and with a solid bottom rail option up to 12' wide. We also offer wire inserts to prevent pets (or very small children) from escaping!
Side Gates
From economy featheredge clad gates up to bespoke hardwood designs we can manufacture and fit to suit any size of opening, and any style of design. You may want a bespoke side gate to match your fence design or a pedestrian entrance to match your driveway gates.
Driveway Gates
From smaller driveway gates up to large gates suitable for sliding or above ground automation in various designs. Check out our Galleries for some inspo or pop into our workshop during open hours to have a look at our example stock gates in person.
Garage Doors
Classic timber garage doors in either hardwood or softwood can be made with or without a matching frame to suit your existing garage opening.
